The Gozo Motocross Association has confirmed the cancellation of Round 4 of the Gozo Motocross Championship, fueled by Enemed, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday, 1 February 2026.

The decision follows a series of severe storms that caused significant damage to the track. Prolonged rainfall and high winds over recent days left the surface and surrounding facilities in a condition that could not be safely repaired in time for the event. Ongoing adverse weather also prevented the Association from deploying the heavy machinery required to carry out essential restoration work.

Association officials stressed that rider and spectator safety remains the overriding priority. With the circuit unable to meet the required safety and competition standards, cancelling the round was deemed the only responsible course of action.

The Gozo Motocross Association will continue work on the track as conditions allow, with the aim of restoring the venue to a standard suitable for safe, competitive, and enjoyable racing. Further updates regarding the championship calendar will be communicated once repair efforts progress and weather conditions stabilize.
